Living with the traffic can be a nightmare. Taking my poorly son to the doctors once I sat in the traffic for 20 minutes to drive from tradespark to Cawdor road.

A review of the traffic lights currently in operation in Nairn needs to be seriously looked at!! At it's worst a journey time from one end of Nairn to the other (approx. one mile) taking 45 minutes is not acceptable!!

Who ever thought that eight sets of lights was a good idea should hang there head in shame and not have a job the hole idea of traffic flow is in the word flow as to move one would have thought with all we here of green this and that to keep harmful stuff down from cars and buses and traffic that the word is flow keep moving not stop and start because someone in government has not got a clue

as a Nairnite who has been away from the town for some years I am nothing short of embarrassed by the appalling impression the constant traffic jams in our once welcoming wee town, must make on first time visitors who will likely never return -why don't we just put a big SORRY sign up at both ends of the town and be done with it..... More seriously I suggest some kind of study is commissioned on the economic losses to tourism and local businesses this summer so that something is learned from this chaos and it never happens again... The cost to locals and visitors of lost time and missed appointments due to the recent gas works lights debacle at bottom of High Street should be totalled up- I personally know of at least half dozen people late for work, meetings and appointments ( including hospital ones ) between Elgin and Inverness - and thats just in one week- and send the bill to Highland Council and those responsible for the Gas infrastructure works. No one would get a penny most likely but it might force a bit more joined up thinking about the negative impacts when public works are carried out without proper local engagement and consultation.

there is absolutely no need for all the traffic lights we now have in town..There was never the hold ups in traffic before like we have now.it takes forever to get from one end off town to the other because off the lights ,something definitely has to be done ,

The addition of the traffic lights due to Sainsburys was ridiculous but it has been made worse by the fact that the traffic lights aren't in sync and therefore only two or three cars are getting through each time that the lights turn green!

It's quicker to travel to Inverness than to get through nairn.... 35 mins to travel just over 3 miles ridiculous ...
