9 sets of traffic lights in Nairn is ridiculous. Half an hour to travel 1 mile.

We are prisoners in our own homes trying to do some shopping in the town centre, which cannot be accessed

Please, please make our home safe for both pedestrians and motorists alike! Our small town feels like an extension to the M25?!

Frustrating for locals and not very encouraging for visitors.

The traffic snarl up is destroying business in Nairn. I have lost customers because of it.

These traffic lights were not put in to relief traffic build up, it was a money wasting exercise which is obvious from the junctions they choose to put them on. Remove or switch off the new traffic lights and get the by-pass sorted!

Remove all traffic lights for a month and see what happens and be prepared for a pleasant surprise.

There was one day that I was stuck in traffic in Nairn. The man that was stuck behind me hurriedly abandoned his car in the bus stop across from Fraser Park and the Farmers Show field on Inverness Road and ran off towards the town centre. After a good few minutes the fire engine passed me going out to a shout. The poor man had to run (quite some distance) to get to the fire station to allow him to go on the shout. I just hope that the incident was nothing too serious that day because there is no doubt that the fire engines departure would have been delayed by the crews inability to reach the fire station promptly. It is clear that the traffic chaos in Nairn has the potential to cost lives.

The state of traffic in Nairn is shocking and seriously affecting the lives of those who live there. Enough is enough.

Getting through town is becoming a nightmare with lights too close together and traffic blocking junctions.

It is ridiculous!! There never used to be a problem before. I have noticed that as soon as one car arrives at any of those junctions the A96 lights change that is why there is a build up of traffic.

How has it taken so long before someone challenges such mistakes?Same in Inverness with the Kessock Bridge traffic lights and let us not forget the Option6 folly. How can road planners get away with so many mistakes. Well done DS.

The situation is completely ridiculous. Traffic flows much better when lights are not working at all!
