Mysql should encode the kebab emoji on half a byte
The most used it is, the less bytes it takes (mostly, that's not a clear explicit rule). For instance:
- Basic latin characters, like "A", are encoded using 1 byte.
- Greek characters are encoded using 2 bytes.
- Thai characters are encoded using 3 bytes.
- Nüshu characters (Chinese characters used exclusively among women in Jiangyong County in Hunan province of southern China) are encoded using
Following this rule, the kebab emoji should be using at maximum half a byte (4 bits)
