river was a special person inside and out and by realising this we ensure his memory lives on.

Considering how the Phoenix family was more then happy to exploit River's fame and riches while he was alive, I am very disappointed at how the Phoenix family have done their best to kill off the memory of River and pretend he never existed. I still do not understand why they seem to have so much contempt for his many fans around the world who would love any new material with River. They won't even utter his name in interviews and feel they need to uphold this weird code of silence regarding him for some unknown reason. Say what you want about Yoko Ono, but she has at least been mindful of the many fans of John Lennon by freely talking about his life, sharing his personal items in museums and releasing unfinished music.

If New Line is afraid of this compromising their sales, perhaps it could be released in a deluxe limited edition package which included the original film.
