My 3 year old dog sentenced to euthanization for only playing..

No animal deserves to be killed. Rebel is still a puppy at heart and those chickens aren't anything but dinner in the oven. Good luck Rebel. ♡♡♡

Please do not euthanize. There so many dogs out there longing for a forever home and can't get one and yet you are condemning a dog his life whom is loved by his family just because some chicken were killed. Dog lovers would know how much a dog mean to them. No one was hurt. Please let him off with a warning and to pay the compensation to the neighbour will do

Murder is only murder when it is premeditated. There's a reason why the law is such.

No dog should be put down when the owner of the chickens can't keep his chickens on his OWN property too.

This is stupid. Rebel does NOT deserve to die over some chickens.

Save this poor dog, I am tired of these chickens running around in New Kent too! It's just what dogs do, my dog tried to get one of our neighbors chickens when it wondered into our yard, and I'll be damned if someone will euthanize him for trying. To be honest I am ready to start shooting the chickens if it means saving the dogs.

I feel this is a knee jerk reaction purely due to the breed. I am quite sure had this been almost any other breed the owner would only be paying restitution for the cost of the chickens.

This is wrong everyone is so quick to judge pit bulls. Rebel was only playing and didn't mean any harm. He does not deserve to die. We don't kill every murderer that get arrested. So we shouldn't do it to an innocent dog.

This is totaly ridiculous i was attacked in 2000 and sustained serious injuries and the family got there dog back and recently a good friend of mine her grandchild was attacked with major injuries and the dog was not removed from the home and according to NK a dog can attack 3times b4 anything is done this is total BS!

Everyone have a chance including animal who once make mistakes. Hope the authority will consider to make the owner compensate to the neighborhood and send the dog to a professional trainer compulsory. Please educate and give this dog a chance to live again.

Hoping this changes the judge's mind. However, this is what happens when you mislabel dog breeds. "Pit bulls" have a stigma and when non pit bulls, like this dog, are listed as one they are subjected to the same ignorance.
