My 3 year old dog sentenced to euthanization for only playing..

Please save this dog. He does not deserve to die for being a dog and wanting to play. If the chickens were put up in a chicken coop like they are suppose to be maybe they would still be alive.

I had a similar situation with my 2 huskies and a cat not one but two cats. Bigger dogs get a bad reputation. The first time something happens people always want to Euthanize a pet. Very playful large pets, family members. I hope this petition works.

I hope they don't kill Rebel. He's a dog, he plays; it's what dogs do.. to the judge: I hope you have never loved anything in your life so you won't know the feeling of losing a family pet/family member. How can you sentence death to a dog that was PLAYING? Have a heart. If you ever accidentally hit an animal driving and they died should someone sentence you to death? Of course you didn't mean to kill the animal you hit your only intention was getting to where you needed to be but yet someone still gives you a month to live before your put to death. Is that fair? No its not. Do not put Rebel to death for something he was not intentionally doing.

Buy them some chickens. If a chicken killed ur dog they wouldn't kill the chicken.

I have a pitbull mix. She was abused so she has a poor view of many people. She's much older now, but when she was younger she loved to play, but she plays much rougher because she's strong and she doesn't realise other animals and such can't keep up. My little brother had to get stitches in his hand because my dog accidentally bit him when they were playing. These types of dogs are really good, loveable animals. I have five cats and my dog plays with them and cuddles wth them all the time. Pitbulls are labelled as dangerous and hostile dogs because they're popular in dog fighting. They really are sweet and gentle when they are raised right. I'm mot going to say this dog is completely innocent. Their instincts to hunt and chase probably kicked in, but the dog was on a leash. If their neighbors didn't want anything to happen to their chickens, they shouldn't let them free roam in the open. This is a cruel punishment for an act of natural life.

We've only had Brittanys, all hunting dogs. If they'd had a chance, they would've killed chickens too!

Don't kill a dog for simply using its natural instincts

You can't put a dog to sleep for being a dog and chasing chickens. Why weren't the chickens locked up?!
