They protect the men and women in uniform and some even continue to serve out of uniform. A service dogs is also a major element of protecting and serving a veteran after their service. They are called man's best friend for a reason. If a K-9 officer is killed in the line of duty honors is provided for that four legged officer, the same should apply for Military Working Dogs and service dogs alike.

If I could sign over and over, I sure would. That dog isn't just a "dog," He stayed strong and helped protect his brothers and sisters. PROPER burial!

This dogs deserve a Military burial and a place in Arlington National Cemetery. They gave the ultimate sacrifice, just like their human counterparts and deserve the respect and acknowledgement as such.

Whether 2 legged or four legged, those who serve in our military should have the right to be buried with honor at Arlington National Cemetery. It is the right thing to do for the service they gave the Nation.

With the greatest respect, these companions gave their lives in many cases to protect our veterans and are accepted and given rank and decorated in our military. There should be a place at Arlington for such dedicated members of our service.

I know Navy Police Dogs that serve with multiple deployments. These Dogs are born to be war dogs. Why would we not Honor such dogs? My question is why is this even a problem?

I doubt any of the other occupants would be offended. In fact, I bet most would welcome these soldiers to them at their side.
