Music ,like physical activities, allow children and young adults an outlet for creativity as well as stress. It opens windows in their minds and doors in their lives. It matches them with fellow students they might not normally have something in common, and therefore unites them in an academic environment. Let's all help where we can, and just maybe our airwaves in Carlsbad might become melodic.

Without art, there is no civilization. Music study will keep our kids from dope and crime. If the school districts would think more about the kids than their retirement packages, we would not have this problem. The teachers of today had music in their classrooms yesterday.

Please get music into the k-5 schools!! LOTS of these kids need a venue where they can succeed outside of general academic classes.

It is so sad that we as parents are donating money to try and hire a music teacher and the district is not supplementing our efforts. Music is so beneficial to the education of our students.

My son attends AOE and they still do not have a music teacher for this year. I agree that pay and benefits need to be better so that they will stay at the schools. I hope this petition helps.
