An excellent program allowing my twin daughters the opportunity to excel in a music rich environment! Not only have they learned music in school they share their gifts and talents in church every Sunday in the vocal choir as well as the hand bell choir. My thanks to all the teachers at all levels!

Both my daughters have been involved in both programs for years! I'm so proud of their achievements. The towns music teachers are extremely talented and play a huge part in our schools and deserve our respect for teaching our children such fantastic talents!

Keep music in our schools. Music also promotes learning and thinking.

I believe music is essential to the mind and spirit. Please think about how taking it away could impact our children's inspiring creativity and imagination.

Music has been a vey important part of my own life and the choral portion began with high school chorus. Just having observed both the Eli Terry Jr. Middle School and the Terryville High School bands at the Memorial Day parades in town it is abundantly clear how important maintaining a quality music program in our schools locally is.

Think of the children! Why are they always the ones who suffer? Music and chorus is a healing tool for many and in this world today, our kids have much more to deal with. Please bring this back for them!!

My daughter is going into 6th grade. She has been in chorus and band she plays the flute. She purchase a flute from mr. Regimbald because she really loves playing. Now she may need to miss out on this and I am very upset. I love going and see her perform and stand in front of a crowd to show what music she has learned. As a parent that is a special moment.

My child is musically inclined and those talents have been recognized and supported in both chorus and band. The ETJMS music program has allowed her a place to perform with passion and pride.

Mrs. DeMichiel has been all three of my sons Chorus teacher throughout the past seven years. Music is also very therapeutic for everyone. I can attest for improvement in academic scores as my child was diagnosed with ADHD in 2008 and has been off of any medication since December 2012 and his grades have improved tremendously. Taking our programs from our future generations of children will negatively impact their opportunities available to them as the venture into adulthood. Think about their future and ours!!!

Music is a very important part of most children's lives. This would be a huge mistake if followed through.

Do not eliminate, the world is screwed up enough, this program and whatever staffing is required is needed.

I just don't get it , we do all this work to have a terrific music program in town and then we just cut it off at its knees . Maybe we should eliminate some position in the board of Ed office or make them take a pay cut ... Why should we always take it out on the children ?
