The heartbreak of losing a beloved pet combined with the worry of not knowing who has taken them, are they being taken care of or are they even still alive is unbearable.

There is too much theft, neglect & abuse today, the perpetrators need to know it will not be tolerated & dealt with as harshly as possible & not be getting away with it!

It's about time now the law was changed more than ever to prevent people doing this. Also the fear this instills in people who are now to scared to walk their dogs.

There shouldn't have to be petitions like this trying for harsher penalties, the penalties should be much more severe! These are our family members who don't have a voice, so we need to speak for them, they all deserve justice against these vile sick scum so called human beings! Eg 3 sickos battering a cat to death in broad daylight and the 4th one recording it, while they all laugh THAT is NOT normal these kids deserve to be locked up for a VERY long time!!! And anyone, who hurts any pet or steals them...they are OUR family!!!

People must not be allowed to get away with abusing any animals. They have feelings and they feel pain. So as they can't speak for themselves we have to help them by speaking for them.

Pets are family, they have massive feelings and compassion, it should not be allowed to happen. We need more help to stop this. The people that do this need to suffer for their actions just as they make others suffer

Stolen dogs must be taken seriously by the police. My brother-in-law's Dobermann was taken from his garden last month. It was five days before the police went to is house but did nothing to investigate his suspicions that local travellers took his beloved young dog.

If you are found guilty of cruelty to animals it should be an automatic lifetime ban from owning any more animals
