in most cases animals are not pets they are family, they are our children and should be treated as such, if a child was kidnapped or abused there would be a public outcry. it is time the punishment fitted the crime !!

I have always been interested in finding out the correlation between people who abuse animals who then go on to abuse humans... something that may make those who don't like animals so much also be aware of such disgusting people and support this cause too. I'm sure it would lead to more cases being reported and people being more aware of cruelty who may otherwise ignore it.

Something needs to addressed!! The law needs to be changed!! You can get prosecuted for animal neglect, this needs to be the case for stolen animals aswell!!

I absolutely think the penalty for pet theft should be increased as it's becoming a major problem, with no real deterrent. These animals go through trauma and that needs to be considered & acted upon.
