Residents of Murphy Canyon Housing area would like to have an alternate option of cable and internet providers. We would like to have Lincoln Military Housing invite providers such as Verizon FiOs, Cox and AT&T. We pay for speeds we are not getting and unfortunately are stuck with only one provider. This is the definition of a monopoly. It is unfair business practice to limit availability for a service that is so critical for communication, entertainment and education. Families of deployed service members rely on the internet for e-mail and voice/video calls and sometimes those are few and far between, so internet service is VITAL. PLEASE GET US OPTIONS!
The response to this request for better internet accessibility has been substantial. This growing momentum demonstrates that our frustration with current service limitations is widely shared by the community.

We need options!!! TWC is a monopoly. Their service is spotty and prices are high because they know they are the only company that services our housing.

I'm tired of resetting a cable box every time the channel freezes up, seeing please wait come across the screen, and slow internet when I pay for high speed.

It is unfair to pay full price for internet service when we are unable to use it most evenings.

Time Warner admitted we can't get the speeds we are paying for, yet still sell them to us. We have been waiting on upgrades that have yet to come. They know we have no other choice and take advantage of military families and treat us like we don't matter.

Unfortunately I don't think this is a Lincoln issue. Att is available in Orleck Heights and they are working on furthering their service throughout MC. Cox is not available at all north of the San Diego river. There are other options for cable such as Direct TV or Dish. I know it sucks that we have no other options for internet as TW totally blows! If you do happen to live in Orleck I would recommend Att for both internet and cable. We were able to cut our bill by almost $80 for cable and internet when we changed over. Plus we got $225 in visa gift cards when we signed up online.

I have two wireless modems one up stairs and one down and still always have problems. Plus cable goes out a lot.
