This has to be the worst decision that Murdoch could have ever made! There is many people that go to Rockingham that simply CANNOT make it to any other campus, that it why the attend Rockingham. To make it closed the alternate entry paths and research programs has to be the most stupid decision ever! Murdoch, if you go through with this, you are going to lose a lot of students! Who either change univeristy or are forced to stop their degree! The idiots sitting in an office that have made the decision clearly haven't visited the Rockingham Campus, seen the atmosphere, and know what it is about!

There is a whole community of people down at Perth's ever expanding Southern Suburbs. Edith Cowan provides for the Northern extremities, the Southern suburbs don't need to be marginalised.

This is absolutely ludicrous!!!! How can they simply move students without consent. I have planned my degree and life around studying at Rockingham. My only choice will to be an external student. This will provide a lower level of education and understanding. If this decision goes through, I strongly believe the universities reputation will be damaged. In my short time as a dedicated Murdoch student I have consistently upheld my support and pride for my institution. However I do not think this can continue as it is not the first time students have had their say revoked.

the education program is an important program. Students chose to attend the rockingham based uni for a reason, ie travel, their children etc they cannot possibly be made to up and attend a uni further away, it's simply unfair.

Murdoch students come from far and wide! Part of the appeal of this university is that students have the option to study all over the Perth and Peel areas! Don't take this option away from our education students; we deserve to be catered for, wherever we come from!

This is just outrageous. If I wanted to go to South St, I would have made it a preference when choosing my classes.

This is a decision that has been made with any consultation and at no point has anybody spoken to Education Students at Rockingham to find out the reasons WHY we go to this campus. It's discriminatory and even though I'm in my final year I can't bear to see this happen!

Parents are paying uni fees to get an education whilst their kids are at school and now you shift it to Perth so unemployed and financially disadvantaged have to pay for before and after school care for their children? These people simply can't afford it nor can the Perth uni arrange their lecture times to suit parents travelling from Rocking to Perth to complete their degree.

This decision hasn’t been thought through very well? The Education board could have come down and organised a meeting for all Rockingham students in the Lecture Hall and advised us and allowed us to have a discussion on the matter! Instead they have made a decision that will have a crippling effect on students who live in not only the surround areas of Kwinana/Rockingham but those students who have to travel afar from areas like Lake Clifton, Mandurah, Lakelands, Singleton, Golden Bay, Secret Harbour, and Safety Bay to Rockingham Campus. These are mostly students who have babies or children at Pre-School/Day-care, Primary schools! How are they meant to drop their kids off at school and get to South St in time for classes? The University at South St doesn’t have enough parking bars for Education students as it is in South St? Are you going to give all Rockingham Students free Red Sticker parking?? Are our parking for South St still going to be free for all Rockingham Students? As for signing up for classes, are those students from Rockingham going to have first option for morning classes?
Mandurah students find it hard as it is to get parking at Mandurah station and now you want these students to travel to South St for classes is a big ask?? For these students who most are parents, will simply miss out on parking because they need to drop their kids of at school before going to South St and getting a car park at Mandurah, Warnbro and Rockingham train stations is a complete nightmare as you need to be there before 6am to get a car park. So that is out of the question?? This is just a complete head ache and Murdoch University needs to think about the students who attend Rockingham and make a meeting to discuss the situation or atleast hear what your students have to say about the changers you are going to enforce upon the Education students!

I can't believe this is happening! I am extremely disappointed with Murdoch for this. There is no way I could afford to travel up to south st for university. The reason I chose to attend the Murdoch University was due to the Rockingham campus. If this is taken away I would be highly tempted to find another university who actually listens and cares for their students.

Murdoch, talk to your students, make deals with your campuses, keep us in the loop when you decided to impact our lives. When our lives change we have to talk to you, when we are going through study changes, we have to talk to you. Murdoch, open your minds, treat your students as people and not as statistics, and don't force us to move - reverse the decision NOW!

The fact that this was done without consulting the people it would negatively impact is appalling and is certainly made me reconsider my choice of University.
I will change to a different university if this proceeds!
