I am a mother to two sons of whom go to schools in the Rockingham as I can be at school within minutes in case of emergencies. I am upset to these changes in Semester 1 2015 as I will no longer only be 15 minutes away from my childrens school. I think that there should have been a forum for students to attend, so that we can have a say in decisions.

It is stupid that we were never involved in the decision as most of us Rockingham students that've around this area and don't want to pay a huge transports fee every time we want to travel to uni. And I certainly DO NOT want to travel an extra hour therefore making it two and ahalf hours to get to uni..... Over it!!!

Movie my studies to South St will mean an extra 40-50 minutes travel time each way, not to mention the cosy of either fuel and parking or public transport. Yhis extra travel time wil also affect the hours I am able to work as I will be wasting almost 2 hours of my day traveling! I cannot do external studies as I just can't learn that way.

I am offended in the way this news has come across and the timing of this decision. The students who were taken in with the mid year intake made the choice to come here less then 2 months ago should have been made aware of this prior to joining Murdoch Rockingham.

I think things should stay as they are, students travel from all over the south of the metro area to Rockingham and don't need to travel further to get the education they want/deserve

This decision needs to be reconsidered ... I've been studying at both campus since 2010 and hands down prefer Rockingham . The problem is there isn't enough units and courses to choose from at the campus therefore restricting the number of enrolments each semester. Look at what's needed... Our community needs Rockingham to continue operating. Instead of closing it - offer a larger variety of courses .

PLEASE DON'T RELOCATE US ROCKINGHAM STUDENTS TO MURDOCH SOUTH STREET. WE ARE HAPPY WHERE WE ARE. NOBODY HAS TIME TO TRAVEL 30-60 MINUTES TO MURDOCH. MANY UNIVERSITY STUDENTS HAVE CHILDREN AND PART/FULL TIME JOBS. THERE IS JUST NOT ENOUGH HOURS IN A DAY. ME BEING A FUTURE EDUCATION TEACHER WOULD RATHER DRIVE 5-10 MINUTES UP THE ROAD TO ATTEND CLASSES, THAN EITHER WASTING MONEY ON PETROL AND PARKING OR HAVING TO RELY ON PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO MAKE IN ON TIME. SO PLEASE, STOP ALL THIS DECISION MAKING, IT WILL JUST COURSE SO MUCH CONFUSION, FRUSTRATION, DRAMA AND EFFORT. LEAVE MURDOCH ROCKINGHAM CAMPUS AS IT IS.

This should have definitely been brought to students first. Murdoch is a joke and I'm feeling very certain that murdoch are going to make us education students unemployable in comparison to other uni graduates.

Would like to know why it is that the general public was made aware of this before students. This information was published in the local paper last week! There really needed to be a forum for Rockingham students to attend so we could have been informed prior to an impersonal email being sent out in bulk. We would like our questions answered.

I chose rockingham campus for the convenience of the location both to home and my sons daycare and because I wanted a more relaxed campus lifestyle. I'm not interested in the "vibrant" campus life that south street has to offer I enjoy being at a smaller friendly campus that is close to home and I can just get on with my study.

I feel it is really important to have university campuses in our outer suburban areas as they service those areas and enable students to achieve a tertiary education who othewise might not be able to travel the inner suburban campuses. It's also great for the local community more broadly and builds capacity locally within Rockingham.

This is a decision that's been made without out consultation of students. My dream of becoming a teacher will become just that, as traveling to South St will be near impossible.

Rockingham Campus provides students from all areas (not just South of Rockingham) with a more direct, personal and approachable cohort. Removing this service places further stresses on both ecudators and University students. I am a proud raduate of Rockingham Campus, and I can happily say my best lectures/tutor were from Rockingham Campus.

the reason I chose to study with murdoch was my ability to get to campus quickly, with a family I must work, moving to murdoch campus will be putting me & my family under pressure financially. I am totally gutted that I wasn't told about this before signing up at the start of the year
