We request that President Kachanoski, as he currently reviews the usage of space at Memorial, consider restoring the Junior Common Room at Gushue Hall to its original use as a dining hall for faculty and guests, or designating some other suitable area on campus for a faculty club.

The administration has acknowledged the volume of interest regarding the Junior Common Room. I am currently finalizing a formal proposal to present to the President during our upcoming meeting to discuss the repurposing of Gushue Hall.

Great idea. MUN needs a spot for faculty to actually network instead of just rushing to meetings.
Its pretty sad we dont have anywhere to go to talk away from our desks. A club would really help everyone feel more like a community.
I really miss having a place to sit down for lunch with colleagues. It makes the campus feel so much more connected and less cold.
About time someone brought this up. Make it happen.
Yes!! Gushue Hall is perfect for this. Why is that space just sitting there empty anyway?

Been wanting this for years. Its hard to meet people in other departments when you spend all your time in your own office.
