These battlesites are few especially in Cobb County. I travel yearly to see these sites and if you destroy it it's gone forever! And so will be my money as I don't travel to see commercial develops.

Do not destroy our Historical Lands or Locations ! This is completely unneccesary, there are many other choices! Greed of a few should not
over rule many, who support preservation of these sites.

Condos and retail space can be built nearly anywhere, but once this historic property is destroyed, it can't come back and the physical momento of its history will be lost forever.

There are several areas - nearby - that have been unsuccessfully developed "commercial" and are now left as unsafe eye soars that weigh our community down. West Cobb was promised one thing down the road a few miles and what is being delivered after the Commissioners' vote is something different. Let's focus on successfully developing the land that has already been zoned commercial - not creating more problems until we fix those left behind.
Whitlock will not be widened. Whether you like it or not. The gridlock of Whitlock is planned to keep the traffic moving slowly. And, it's doing that quite well. Adding more congestion does no one any good.
Time is running out to save undeveloped parcels of land such as this one. And, as we've seen - when the commercial land goes vacant - it does not regrow trees, creeks and wildlife.
County coffers are growing richer. The voters voted to save land. This development is unneeded, unwanted and a detriment to the safety of our citizens. Dallas Highway already has some of the most dangerous intersections. This would just add to this problem!

West Cobb is already saturated with houses, retail, restaurants and grocery stores, etc. We don't need any more of these. Traffic is already an issue. One of the things that we loved about west Cobb when we moved here 13+ years ago it the neighborhoods, good school but still pretty with natural green space. Now that is going away.
