It is past time for this to occur. This dangerous situation has put the waters of the world at risk. We cannot have a manufacturer of plastic in town nor do we need to continue to use plastic in grocery stores on a daily basis.

Simply put… There is way too much plastic packaging. I would much prefer to buy products that were plastic free… Not only is it a waste problem with plastic that does not degrade but also the plastic leeches phthalates which are Estrogen mimickers… We don’t need to be absorbing these types of things from plastic food items, hygiene items etc. Bad for health and bad for the environment.

I live in Siskiyou County and support businesses in out County that support our environmentally dependent economy. We have no reason to sell products where there are environmentally friendly alternatives. Bottled water is not necessary nor environmentally sound. Offer water to your customers free of charge encouraging them to bring there bottles to your business. Itskes good business sense.

If there was suddenly no demand for anything packaged in plastic, retailers would stop selling it. We need to stop buying it.

Any plastic items can be replaced with biodegradable packaging, or recyclable ones. STOP USING PLASTIC!!!
