She does not deserve to be treated this way. I hope everyone speaks up for her. A devoted teacher and this is the thanks she gets for all her time, love, and commitment to a school she loves. Makes me sick.

Teachers give so much of their personal time, effort, money, and energy into teaching. After 30 years at the same school - she has probably taught over 100,000 students. After reading the comments from former students and parents; it would be a slap in the face to have her go somewhere else to complete her last year of teaching. This is the school she has considered as "home" for 30 years. It truly would be a shame to have a career end on such a sour note. Teachers are the foundation for every other job that each person achieves in their lifetime. Teaching is a hard profession, and teachers do not get the credit or the paycheck they deserve for all they do for children. I hope it all works out for Mrs. Boner and she is allowed to stay at her school for the rest of the year.

I think this whole situation is disgusting to treat a well respected teacher that has given you almost 30 years of her life and now you are trying to force her to leave. She has already said she will retire in May of next year. She should be given the the respect she is due and allow her to finish her career on a good note. This is disgraceful and I hope you think long and hard before you made this decision.

I'm currently a senior at UF and I had Mrs. Boner back in 5th grade. She is hands down one of the best teachers I have had. She is strict, but is extremely fair to all her students. She taught her students not just from a textbook, but about manners and self-respect. Mrs. Boner absolutely loves all her students and deserves to still teach. The 30+ years of experience should say enough as is.
