Suzanne was not only a colleague of mine but also personal friend. She is an amazing teacher, friend and human being. This is so unfair and not right. Please re-evaluate your method for down sizing schools. This is a major loss for not only Citrus Park but Hillsborough county too.

While my girls never had Mrs. Boner as a teacher while attending Citrus Park Elementary, I got to know her through various volunteer activities and participation in PTA... She is a wonderful teacher who teaches life skills that's almost non existence nowadays. Shame on CPE/District for doing this on her last year!!!

This is a personal assault! Mrs. Boner needs a lawyer. She has tenure, which was grandfathered in. Without proper documentation of extended poor performance this violated tenure guidelines.
She needs a lawyer, call local television stations!

Mrs. Boner has made such a difference in so many lives!! My nieces and nephew were blessed to have her in 5th grade. They still go back and visit her even through they are ready to graduate high school!! She TRULY cares about her students!! She has greatly impacted the lives of SO many! To be honest, I would say that she it the heart of Citrus Park school. To have her terminated would be an abomination!! Please...PLEASE...reconsider and let her teach! Let her continue to pour love and learning into her students!!

I personally think the Citrus County School Board needs to be notified immediately, so they can evaluate how the current Principal got to this decision and why.

I can completely remember Mrs Boner class from 30 years ago. She deserves to go out with her last class in May. As a teacher myself, this is disgusting and a misuse of power from educational leaders.

Mrs. Boner is an extraordinary teacher, person and example of what having passion for a career means. She not only excels in her teaching skills but makes each child want to go to school, influences children beyond the classroom, and deserves the same respect that she has given to the community of Citrus Park. She has values and beliefs that she has shared positively with my children. My daughter will always list Mrs. Boner as her favorite and most influential teacher. Please reconsider this action and do what is not only right but deserving. Mrs. Boner we support you! Ken, Diane, Molly and Wyatt Reid

Mrs. Boner has given her heart and soul to Citrus Park Elementary for 30 years. The love and respect her students have for her is well earned. She should be allowed to retire from Citrus Park in 8 months with the honor she deserves. #Bonerrhymeswithhonor

Mrs. Boner, without even having been my son's 5th grade teacher, has been so influential to my Danny, who is 21 and a college senior. She wrote him several letters and cards this past summer as he was working hard to survive Marine Corps OCS. She chose to do this without even having him in her classroom simply because she continues to be a caring and supportive teacher. Any idiot who wants to get rid of her from a school that she has taught at for 30+ years, I just don't even have the words. I am thankful that she is much more than a great teacher, but more importantly a supportive friend to me in my teaching career and to my son as he begins his military career.
