Injustice for some is injustice for all!

the fact that this dean represents SU is surprising and concerning.

I am an alumnus of the English Literature BA, 2012. I would suggest approaching professors like Dr. Roberts and Dr. Gutiérrez y Muhs for support, suggestions, etc. I would think they would agree with much of the intention of this coalition and could likely offer great mentorship and advocacy from within the department. You all have my support! This is an awewome example of student action and it's been a long time coming. I'm very proud of all of you. Keep fighting. They will listen.

Let me see if I have this straight, you lot chose to go to a school that is "...that is rooted in 450 years of Jesuit tradition." (school's website) and are somehow shocked, ofended, and amazed that the school follows this tradition and not some po-mo arglebargle ? With thinking like that, how did you even get into any school other than a community college ?

You people will never survive in the real world.

You are trying to silence other people with this intolerant nonsense. If you don't like what someone says, don't listen or use your own views to challenge them. Our freedom of speech supersedes your fear of different view points and opinions.

The University is suppose to be a place to get an education so that you can move into the real world. In the real world - outside your little re-education camps - people have the right to free speech, even speech you personally don't agree with.

I almost feel sorry for these children. Yes I said children because adults don't act like this. You chose this school, you agreed to go to this University. Now you don't like it so you demand changes. Who gives you the right to institute Stalinist re-education camps? This PC nonsense is nothing but a modern day witch-hunt, and is reminiscent of the tactics employed during the "Red Scare' and McCarthyism. You are little immature tyrants that can't handle opposing view points and those that don't goose-step to your ideology. You are intolerant of true diversity, you are intolerant of Free Speech.

Solidarity with the protestors!

Every single student who is involved in this protest deserves to be expelled from the school. You have no idea how enormously privileged you already are or how contradictory your own "mission statement" is. You don't deserve to be in higher education, you need therapy and to leave your safe spaces. You wish for the staff to "stop microaggressions" and "infantilizing" you, then act like adults for the first time in your lives and deal with words like everyone else has to. If you want people to treat you like adults, act like adults.

I support the MRC movement towards changing and challenging the curriculum towards what it truly means to develop leaders for a just and humane world.

I wish this had happened while I was still a student at SU. It could have radically changes my experience for the better.

As an alum of Seattle U, I have high expectations for this institution. I believe that SU is failing its students and that change needs to occur.
