I can honestly say that I have never know a teacher as amazing as Mr. Calvillo. His passion and support to help each and every one of his students to succeed is apparent and appreciated by anyone who has ever had the honor of being taught by him.
Mr. Calvillo helped me become the person that I am today. He helped me get my very first job, taught me about leadership and helped me gain confidence in myself. He has been my mentor, cheer-leader, and someone I have always been able count on for the best advice in life. To keep Mr. Calvillo from being able to make a connection with more students would be a shame. I hope that many more students, for years to come, will have the opportunity to know and be taught by such a inspiring instructor.

Hearing this breaks my heart. Mr. Calvillo has impacted my life as a teacher and as a SkillsUSA advisor. It's sad to realize that a teacher with such great intentions is even being considered being "let off". This teacher has stuck by me, and has motivated me to be a better person even till this very day. I've had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Calvillo since freshmen year and ever since then he has treated me like one of his own. I cannot believe this school district for not seeing the great potential of this man, and all he has done for his students. I currently attend San Benito High School, and have never met a teacher and advisor like Mr. Calvillo.

Mr Calvillo is a wonderful man who taught me what no other teacher could. Yes we learn about math, reading, science, etc... But Mr Calvillo made it a point to teach us about "real" life experiences. Like finding and keeping a job, how to write resumes, and even to be sure and get an insurance to cover yourself at 18y/o because we think we are invincible and tend to do the dumbest things! A man of true useful knowledge with a heart of gold does not even come close to describing this amazing man!!

Joseph Calvillo is a very well educated and patient teacher that cares about his students well being and professional future. Far many other school officials deserve termination before this fine educator. I support he stay employed until effective substantial evidence supports that he is unfit to work as an educator.

Mr. Calvillo has been a mentor of mine since my years as a student at WEHS, til now as I am finishing up my fourth year as a teacher/coach. He's been there for me, as well as hundreds of other students throughout the years. I always knew I could go to him of i ever needed anything, and I still feel that way today as I wrote this email. W.I.S.D. cannot afford to lose Mr. Calvillo. He is a true asset to the district and our students need him.
