I have known Calvillo for about 5 years now. I graduated weslaco high last year, 2015, and Calvillo truly made an impact on my life. Calvillo was one that understood my troubles and saw that I can do great things. I am currently attending Western Michigan University and it is great. Calvillo taught me a lot in the 2 years I had him for career preparation and the 1 year I had him for Audio and radio at the CTE Center. I was in SkillsUSA for 2 years, my second year I was voted as President of the club. I have a good relationship with Calvillo and I know only great things come from him.

Mr. Calvillo is my mentor, he saw potential in me as a sophomore at Weslaco High School. He helped me secure my first internship for Clear Channel Radio now iHeartMedia. Without his guidance and support I would not be the accomplished woman I am today. My senior year I had the honor of representing Weslaco High School and winning 1st place in the National Skills USA Radio Competition. This lead me to my career in radio and media and pursuing my B.A. in Advertising Public Relations. I am the Marketing Director for 3 shopping malls now and know that Mr. Calvillo influenced my path. Mr. Calvillo inspired me to be great! He transitioned from my teacher to mentor and over 10 years later my dear friend.
