I hope this abrupt dismissal can be undone, and the wrong made right. Thank you for starting this petition, and thank you to Mr.Allen for all the love, respect, honesty and loyalty you have shown to our daughters (and even my son whom he knew just from seeing in my back seat,is saddened by his transfer) and to our community.

This petition is truly a testament to Mr. Allen's character and shows just how many lives his kindness and generosity have touched. What is concerning as an alum is the complete lack of communication from the school since that original email. Does the administration think we'll forget all of this over the weekend? Our community, our family, is hurting and it saddens me to think that Duchesne is no longer the home I remember. The sudden dismissal/transfer of both Mrs. Gleaves and Mr. Allen, without any forthright and timely information from the school, is disheartening and frustrating, to say the least. Furthermore, the continued radio silence only worsens the hurt felt by our family. I pray that answers will come soon.

At 2 years old, my grandson was in our nursery and his comment was that"Mr Allen took care of all the kids and all the cars". How true. He is a treasure

I am a grandparent from Delaware and have had many opportunities to interact with Mr. Allen when taking my granddaughter to school during my visits. I always look forward to seeing his friendly face and encountering his kind and genuine greeting. He is such an amazing presence and his absence has left a gigantic void. He must be returned to his post so we can enjoy his special Karma.

Mr.Allen was the kindest man ever! No matter the weather or circumstances he would always have a cheerful smile on. He would always scare girls and make them laugh. He made my day. We all miss him, and want him back!

In response to 1234 - I am truly sorry for your daughter's unfortunate experience yesterday. Thank you for sharing it. I hope we can all talk with our children about being respectful, about expressing disagreement without losing tolerance, about not hurting each other. I would also like to point out that the school has made itself out to be the victim. They have not admitted to firing a popular member of the staff; they claimed to be just as surprised as we were. And now they have maintained silence for over 24 hours. Experience has taught this community that waiting quietly for an explanation is futile, which is why some of us have made a lot of noise before "all the facts were known." Apparently waiting noisily is also futile so people will soon stop this online discourse and begin speaking with their pocketbooks. We don't want the patient to die from the treatment. I would like to encourage all the adults on here to write real letters to the Board, on paper, and deliver them to the school as soon as possible. It would be in the best interest of the school community to move this discussion off the internet. We don't need kids hurting each other or ABC13 seeing all of our pain.

#bringbackMrAlan He is needed around here, he brighten so many people's day, checking in, stopping by offices to say "hi my lady how are you today" Seeing him interact with the girls from Pk - 12 he was wonderful and made them smile, something they haven't done much of this week. #missingMrAlan

There are those of us that have chosen to remain neutral regarding this matter. We have taken time to discuss this with our daughters – what could have been done better, why things happen to good people. We also took the time to explain to our daughters that there are times in our professional careers that we too have had to make decisions that were not popular, have had to fire and/or let go staff that we truly liked. Those actions did not make us a bad person. What I did not expect was to receive an email from my daughter yesterday stating for the first time in all of her years at Duchesne that she did not feel safe. It was not because Mr. Allen was not there. It was because of Mr. Allen. My daughter was told that if she remained neutral, then she did not love Mr. Allen. A finger was then put in her face and she was asked ‘why do you hate Mr. Allen?” It is very sad that many years from now, the only memory that my daughter will have about Mr. Allen is being told by one of your daughters that she did not love him.

Please bring Mr. Allen back. His importance to the Duchesne community cannot be overstated. He exemplifies dedication, concern, integrity, and caring. Indeed his is a great example for us all. We all miss you, Mr. Allen.

Mr. Allen would say "How Ya Doin" and "How's MY Baby-Girl" every single hot, humid, or freezing, flooding, raining miserable day. The MAN stood solid, smiling and keeping us crazy-carpoolers from crashing into each other. Miss him!!

Some of us have decided to boycott next year's Annual Fund unless Mr. Alan is reinstated.

He is the nicest guy. I think that it is so mean of Duchesne to move him just because of one complaint. He always shaking hands, always smily, giving high-fives, how could someone complain? Please bring Mr. Allen Back!
