Allen is a wonderful man -shame on Duschense for allowing this to happen You taught my daughter better than that -I am disappointed -the right thing to do is apologize and rectify the injustice

Hi Mrs. Walsh, It is great to see 'hear' from you! Hope you are doing well. I truly appreciate your comment and commend all previous and current employees for signing. The purpose of this petition is to protest the transfer and I hope it gets noticed by the institutions that need to see it (be it Duchesne or the Security Company). Thank you again!

I was present when Mr. Allen chased down a man who had exposed himself to one of the girls outside the campus (they were holding a sign up for a car wash at the corner of Chimney Rock and Memorial. Mr. Allen followed this man as he came in, behind the girls who had run in, and was telling the man to stop and steering him away from the girls. Mr. Allan would throw himself down for the girls-to me we were his exgtended family. I am shocked and disappointed to think that the school would do this when he has been so kind and loyal.

As a graduate of Duchesne Middle School (I am currently attending a boarding school for high school), I can personally say that Mr. Allen is the heart and soul of Duchesne Academy. He knows every student's name and makes everyone feel at home, regardless of race, class, or creed. Without him, the community will not be the same. After almost THIRTY years of dedicated service to the girls and families of Duchesne, he should not have been shown this utter lack of respect by the administration. It is completely unacceptable, and responsibility should be taken by those involved for failing to resolve this issue in a timely and correct manner. Additionally, Ms. Swenson has failed as a headmaster to adequately address this situation. Adding a Bible quote to the end of an email DOES NOT right the wrongs, and it does not make you a “Christian”. A Christian would see the injustice occurring, and resolve to fix the situation. Ms. Swenson and the staff who made this decision should resign from their duties at Duchesne Academy, as they no longer embody the characteristics of the Sacred Heart community.

When Mr. Allen began his work at Duchesne, he had an ordinary job which he turned into an amazing one because of the way he carried out that job. He knew every single child, their parents, the faculty and staff by name for each and every year he was at Duchesne. I have been retired for 9 years, but whenever I am on campus, he'll smile broadly and say, "Hello, Mrs. Walsh." He truly cares for each person there and is respectful and kind. When he worked over Thanksgiving weekend, parents would deliver him meals as a way of thanking him for the special way in which he looked over their child. You can't buy this sort of devotion. This was his gift to Duchesne. He thinks the school and everyone in it is special, and Mr. Allen himself is very special. Please consider reinstating him. Any work place is known by how it treats its employees. The loyalty Mr. Allen has displayed toward Duchesne should be reciprocated by those in charge of the school. Respectfully submitted, Sandra Walsh, Lower School Librarian, retired in 2006

Please visit this page to raise money to help him during this difficult time. It is the least we can do to repay him for everything he has done for us. We love you Mr. Allen! www.gofundme.com/8w9wuhdu

Mr. Allen cared for the school, the girls, and the entirety of the DASH community. He was there everyday from the moment we arrived, to the moment we left school, watching over and protecting each one of us. He made Duchesne a safe place for all of us. I'm appalled at this news, and I hope DASH will reconsider this decision.

Mr. Allen is an awesome dude and there's nothing wrong with being "too close" to the everyone, that's what you call "A GOOD STAFF"

If this was only a "reassignment" , then why was he not given a send off allowing the community to show how we feel about him. Sneaking him off in the night speaks volumes about what really happened. And he is only the latest employee to be forced out in an unkind manner.

I have never had Mr. Allen but if all those that I went to school with and respect stand up for this man then so will I. Unless something wrong happened. But knowing Duchesne and the families throwing money around, I bet a student didn't like a grade, and he was forced into retirement. Pathetic!

It has been at least 10 years since I've stepped foot on Duchesne ' s campus but when I saw the name Mr. Allen appear on my Facebook page I knew exactly what who it was. My next thought was what happened to him? When I read the post I was outraged. I remember nothing but kind things about him. He was looked after me during my time at Duchesne. I think he should at least be given a voice to refute whatever claims have been made about him and hopefully restored to his home.

By now it should be clear to Swenson and the Board that the community outrage is not solely related to this one incident. It is merely the straw that broke the camel's back. Her email attempting to purposefully mislead people into believing the school did not know and then quoting scripture to say "please don't speak ill of me" is shameful. And the reason we don't have to wait for additional "facts" is because it should never have happened in the first place!!
