Well, I know that an RSCJ would NEVER have made this decision. They ran the school with love and compassion for almost 50 years. They would've heard a thousand stories about Mr. Allen during their tenure and know how the community adores him. The board tried it a different way for a while. Perhaps the hundreds of complaints about this and the many other unwanted changes will help the decision makers return to Duchesne's core values. Right now we are missing communication, transparency and frankly, honesty. That email was just an insult to everyone's intelligence. Surely this is a wake up call to put Duchesne back on the right path. Bring back Mr. Allen!!!

Allen is such a wonderful part of Duchesne. He still remembers me and our children after many years. His smile is so full of goodness for so many!

I am really concerned that we have heard nothing from the school since the scripture quoting email this morning. Do they really expect us to believe they didn't know and had nothing to do with it?
I would also like to point out to the school that the vast majority of these comments do say good things that people need to hear - about Mr. Allen.

Apparently the current administration views the Goals of the Sacred Heart as nothing more than wall art. Alan on the other hand is the living embodiment of those goals. He showed kindness and respect for everyone and as others have said Duchesne Academy was not his employer, it was his life. Rather than transferring Alan, I suggest they bring him back to teach the current Head of School what Duchesne really means to the those of us in the extended DASH family.

Mr. Allen was always appropriate and professional when I worked as the Summer Camp Director and would always wait with me until the last child / late parent would arrive to pick up their child.
