Class of 2003. We need to make sure this helps teach mids to carry these beliefs out to the fleet, not just alumni who don't participate in USNAA until after they get out. Thank you for helping guide us down the right path.

Janie, members of the USNA Class of 2003 are moving forward in similar direction. I would love to chat and combine forces if possible. -USNA Class of 2003 Vice President

I appreciate the effort and courage of Janie Mines ‘80 and her classmate Sharon Disher ‘80 to take the lead and request a real dialogue about racism and sexism at the United States Naval Academy and within the Naval Academy Alumni Association by initiating this petition. Well done.

I proudly served as the First Battalion Secretary from 1980-1990. Thank you for your commitment, courage, faith and tenacity. We are always better when we work together.

Proud of this initiative. Very well written and reasoned with just the right tone and message. We can make it happen and make a real difference.

Racism, sexism, hate and insecurity must be shown the light if they are to give way to eason and respect

I imagine that if every organization responded to man's inhumanity with the same thoughtfulness, concern, respect, and authenticity - as so many have so far to the various instances of hate we continue to see - the world might become a place filled with less fear, less hatred, and less pain. I appreciate the effort that has gone into this, and I hope the impact is positive and long-lasting. Class of '00
