Ed was a really good friend and an excellent coach. He also was a really good neighbor!

Ed Yock was by far my favorite coach of all time. He should be In The hall of fame, let alone have the field named after him. Mr Shoffner donated $35,000. Me Shoffner always spoke with me about the games. You could tell he loved baseball. He’d rock back in his chair holding the baseball talking about strategy. Mr Shoffner enjoyed watching my team play because my mom worked for him and it was important for his employees to be happy. Me Shoffner loved what our coach, Eddie Yock brought to the field and the enthusiastic way he brought the best out of the youth by the way he coached. Therefore that helped Morris speed things up on getting the donations necessary for completion. Without Shoffner’s $35,000, it would have taken us four more years to complete for the new fence, netting and hitting facility, new scoreboard and walk way. None of this would been possible without Mr Shoffner and his wife Jodie, God, myself and Eddie. I’m forever thankful for God giving us favor.

Coach Yock is a legend of Morris. Most definitely this field should be named in his honor.

This is long overdue and deserving of this man. Coach has guided so many of us over the years and the life lessons I learned out on that field are still with me today.
