With these children already having missed so much schooling this poll needs to be held elsewhere and not cause the children to miss more learning.

The children have already had so much disruption to their education over the last year. It is disgusting that you are wanting to disrupt them even more when they are all trying to adjust to some sort of normal education.

Find an alternative polling station venue so these children do not have to miss another day of their valuable education, especially after such challenging times with the pandemic.

What happened to the £31m pledged by the gov in Feb to avoid using schools as polling stations? Makes me wonder if the leadership of Wokingham council has a vested interest in keeping the polling station right where it is knowing the likely preference of majority voters in immediate vicinity.

The community fire station would be best placed for this as there is parking and it central in the village. There is also the parish church and Methodist & baptist church to consider.

There must be so many empty premises at the moment. Also this poses a health and safety risk in the current climate.

There are numerous churches and halls in our area, why disrupt the school and force parents to take time off work as no childcare available especially after a year of school and work closures.

Having any school as a polling station is absolutely ludicrous.

It might be worth checking when the council last had a review of polling places, and contacting local councillors (who support it staying at Oaklands school)

Can the elections not be delayed until next year?

After so much home schooling there is no way that Oaklands should be closed again for polling. There must be other venues available that do not impact the children's schooling.
