This petition has been written in response to today's ticket sale events that have left many fans feeling cheated by, lets call them, the "powers at be." Brand New has one of the most passionate followings in music today and thus, are RIPE for the taking; as we witnessed today. Brand New fans are so passionate that many fans save money in order to attend, sit on their computers waiting in some "waiting line" for hours before the sale, and are usually willing to spend upwards of 5x the ticket price on some secondary sale site (that's what I had to do) just to attend. But honestly, a line has to be drawn. I'm all for capitalism and feeding demand; great, that's what our country rose to prominence based on. But THIS is like holding the milk supply to 10 gallons for the entire town when the milk man could easily go out back and get some more. We're sitting here buying 700 dollar gallons of f****** milk and it's time Brand New steps in and protects fans that are so loyal to them. "We all decided we'd LIKE to play more shows..." so.. what you're saying is that, Brand New, as a band, can pretty much do as they please.. right? Well if that's the case, step in here and do something for the fans..add shows (lol) or change the venue.. please.. Nassau Coliseum is the perfect venue. The demand for these shows is high enough and I'm sure the Coliseum would take the revenue. What a better idea than packing out Nassau with 10,000 hard core Brand New fans, singing our favorite songs and having a great time. Lets make this happen people. Numbers will speak. Don't spend $600 on Stub Hub just yet
