Phish's use of TicketMaster is hurting the Phans. TicketMaster has many agreements selling blocks of tickets off to "brokers", aka scalpers. To top this, Ticketmaster has actually taken over TicketsNow, one of the webs leading ticket brokers. It is not fair that TicketMaster diverts tickets from phans directly to their in house broker and sells tickets for up to 15x face value. THIS IS A DIRECT CONFLICT OF INTEREST! There is no incentive for Ticketmaster to sell all their concert tickets at face value when they can sit on huge blocks of tickets and make enormous profits selling them at inflated prices. It is not fair to either us Phans or to Phish for TicketMaster to treat us like this. We are fed up with paying inflated prices for tickets and hope that Phish will develop an in-house ticketing system to correct this abuse of ticket sales by TicketMaster. Please join me in asking Phish for a change. Rebirth of the band should be accompanied by reformation of the ticket sales.
