I know the need for a shelter is great but not next to a school and daycare on any terms. We can assure the safety of our little people!

This location is not the best choice there are two schools less than 500 feet away putting our children in risk of coming in to contact with persons or objects the should not throughout the entire homes community it has been seen most camps leave trash and the smell of human waste nd not to mention some are drug users the last thing we need is to put our kids in that kind of risk as a community would be irresponsible for us to put the warming shelter here

The shelter is there for good, and that is commendable, but it is a bad location. I get anxious walking into my work with a shelter across the street, homeless community liters the streets and act crazy toward me literally everyday, and I'm an adult walking into work. Couldn't imagine being a kid walking into school facing the same kind of thing.

I went to this preschool 25 years ago and I love that my son is able to go to the same school I was. He absolutely loves it, however I know from personal experience the disaster that is left behind by folks that have nothing to lose. I would feel a lot better if the severe weather station was NOT RIGHT NEXT DOOR to mine and others very young, vulnerable children. Not to mention that my home is a block away as well. Registered sex offenders are often times part of the homeless crowd, how do you plan on keeping them away from the children? 24 hour supervision on them? I doubt it

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I WILL REMOVE MY CHILD FROM THE SCHOOL NEXT DOOR IF THIS HAPPENS! PROTECT OUR KIDS. DO NOT EXPOSE THEM TO THAT KIND OF ENVIRONMENT!!

This is dangerous for the children who attend preschool there and there is a school right next door. You do not run back ground checks on these individuals. This is dangerous.

I am a parent of a child at Kid's World Learning and do not feel comfortable with a shelter being next to the school.

With my son going to the school right next door I worry about his safety and exposure to unfit things for a child.

My baby goes to preschool here. We have to put our children first, and their has to be another option.

I support having a Severe Weather Shelter in the area but NOT in this location.

Agree we need a warming shelter.. STRONGLY disagree on this location. You’re putting the kids & schools at risk! The schools are already there and running... fine another location to stick a warming shelter. This is absurd! Should not even be considered when located close to schools.
