Wednesday half days are hard to coordinate with work. It is much easier to take off a half day at the end of the week than in the middle of the week. Please consider moving the half day to an easier to accomodate Friday.

I have six children, and coordinating my work schedule for a Wednesday early release is impossible. I could feasibly do a Friday release. Otherwise, I have absolutely no way to get my kids from school and our current school offers NO after school care, and even if they did, the cost would financially ruin me. I'm already struggling with six kids. The early release cuts into my work, my pay and my ability to pay my bills and take care of my children. This does not consider the full-time working parent whatsoever. I am completely against a regular early release, but if it's going to happen, then Fridays would be the only way for it to possibly work for my family. Otherwise, the school staff is going to get really mad when I pick my kids up at 3:30 pm on a day that they got out at 12. Tough luck, but I work, too.

Moving the half days to Fridays will better allow us parents to have someone in the home when our kids have early release. Please consider moving the half days to Fridays. Thank you.

Extremely inconvenient to have a half day every Wednesday. It’s too disruptive to far too many working parents.
This has been done without the consent and input of parents.

I’m a working mom, it’s already hard to juggle one or two Fridays a month, there is no way I can do every Wednesday! Please reconsider!

The impact to families with working parents is beyond obvious; Moving to friday may solve some of the pain (most businesses are more willing to give Fri afternoons off for people) and also align for family time. Lets do this right.

Whose idea was this? My understanding is this came from Dr Finch. Wednesday half days are a very bad idea and extremely inconvenient for all. The half days need to be on Fridays for the benefit of students, families, and teachers. Who is this for?

Early release every Wednesday will create difficulties for many families. What will happen with after school sports? Can kids stay at school for free until game time, or will they then need to be brought back to school? Not a great plan.

As a working parent this will have a direct impact on our family as we will struggle to adjust work schedules each early release day. Please reconsider this proposed change.

This would put a major bind on many parents. There is clearly not enough after care spots to supposed such an initiative. Please do not do this.
