As a resident of Mountainview College, the use of Susquehanna and Newings' fire pits are unrealistic. The distance between fire pits and the lack of sense of community discourages residents from using other fire pits on campus. The fact that Susquehanna and Newing both have fire pits makes it unjustifiable that Mountainview cannot support one as well.
The installation of a fire pit in Mountainview College will increase resident moral, increase social interaction, provide students with a stress relief, and create community pride.
As a community of over 1000 Binghamton University students, we would greatly appreciate the approval for the installation of a fire pit in Mountainview College.
