When females with cubs are shot, the cubs die horrible drawn-out deaths of starvation. Even when she is NO LONGER lactating, a female needs months to teach the young to hunt for themselves. I hope to see this implemented.

I hunt bobcats, so my experience is based on that. But I have found in my area that taking fewer numbers of females thus higher numbers of mature males actually increases the total over all population. Again, I can only speak of bobcats but one of the biggest reasons kittens don't make it to adult hood is because mature males will kill and eat kittens givin the chance. I support this. Not only will there be more lions producing kittens but less kittens getting killed by mature males.

The hunting and harvesting of these natural predators needs to be thoughtfully managed like all our resources as part of protecting and keeping the eco system balance in place.

Do not stop mountain lion hunting this will be detrimental to the deer and elk other game species.

I thought it strange, as a hunter, that people were taking female lions and not passing on them. I don't see the taking of females in big cats to be a positive thing unless it is a true problem animal.
