Its shocking how bad motherwell town centre has got, same new shops we get, enough is enough, sick off seeing e-cig shops, lots off charity shops too now,
Few mens shop !! Would like to see a womans sports shop or something we havent got in motherwell that we really need!!!
Really interested in a proper sport shop though with female vlothing in it too..

Many people like myself go to Glasgow or east Kilbride cause they have better store there but in my mind the North Lanarkshire council and the Brandon management should take note to brighten the town centre so that more stores can invest in our town centre and bring a range of different goods into the shops that are lying empty and they say that they put a roof on top to keep the wind and rain off shoppers and they haven't delivered that

e cig, charity shops, £1 shops, pawn shops, junkies, its houching with them! i cant pick up a prescription without them being in motherwells chemists gurgling meth out there tree! its a disgrace of a town, somewhere i dread even taking my 4 year old daughter... we need a revamp! get rid of the heroin users get new clothes shops for men, woman & kids ... like a NEXT or something! start filling the shops that have lay empty for many years... its falling apart slowly, i used to think wishaw was ghost town! motherwells just as bad.

I used to love shopping in Motherwell. Now we have 7 charity shops in the main precinct. The decent clothes shops are closing because they can't afford the rates! What good are the high end shops like costas if there's no shoppers to stop for coffee?

Motherwell used to have decent shops, 2 that i miss are Burtons and InterSport, not enough customers coming to the town centre to shop at the decent shops that motherwell once had that has caused them to close.. Prospects of ravenscraig is lifetimes away from opening so something needs done to get these big name shops to back motherwell! First thing that needs done is the junkes and alcoholic's moved on and banned from the area (plenty of other places they can beg and buy black cans) get it sorted!

I was born in Motherwell & for many years there was a variety of good shops which attracted people . Nowadays there seems to be more betting shops , hair dressers & other low end shops . Parking is being taken away . Which means people more likely to go elsewhere affecting business so really how does that make sense ??

There are no decent clothes or shoe shops if you are going out you need to travel to either Hamilton, Coatbridge or Glasgow. I work and live in Motherwell and never go near the town centre. Also parking is terrible as people who travel by train can park for free all day but people who shop are limited (saying that there is no way you could spend an hour at the shops in Motherwell never mind three!!!!!!)
