there should be at least 3 microwaves, 4 toasters, a water boiler for hot water, plastic forks and knives, cups. it should be located in the main canteen as lots of people including myself eat their own lunch there anyway.

1. There should be an area with more microwaves
2. A burco boiler as opposed to kettles therefore there would be constant hot water and you are not constantly heating water in a kettle.
3.Toasters ect would also be nice
4. One central area for all of this where it can be used easily but there would also be a need for it to have CCTV and a rota to keep it cleaned/tidy
I bring a lunch with me everyday and find it annoying that i have to go to the student union to warm up food. The canteen is very expensive for me especially as i am a ceoilac and sandwiches alone are a rip off for me. I pay the same amount of money for a small sandwich (as my sliced bread is tiny) as someone buying a filled roll. ridiculous and frustrating!!!!! I agree with a lot of the comments about the price of hot water 50c is a bit much considering they are not boiling kettles constantly.

I love the idea of a heat room with multiple microwaves and kettles (50c for a cup of hot water is ridiculous)Toasters would also be nice!!

The facilities available for students who bring their own lunches to IT Sligo are seriously lacking in comparison to other colleges and secondary schools.

I feel their is not enough facilities with th e college for students to bring in the own lunch and the canteen is a rip off charging 50c for hot water where students want to boil their water and much more is need in this area.

A Common Room near the main canteen should be set up with several microwaves and kettles. Many students live too far away to go home for lunch, and so either have to have cold food or pay for canteen food, which is too expensive for many. The campus is completely under equipped with facilities for students to bring their own food. This is in direct contrast to the overpriced food available in the main canteen. There should be an area to heat food and have access to boiling water and a small cleaning area.

I was told last year that we were only allowed one microwave on a trial basis, not to advertise it due to health and safety, funny every other college has them
