The feedback regarding the current limitations in Hume Hall has been consistent and telling. I am currently preparing a formal proposal for the administration to outline the specific utility improvements required for our daily needs.

The momentum behind this request for improved student facilities at Hume Hall has become quite significant. It is clear that the lack of adequate meal preparation tools is a frustration shared by many within our community.

Needs to be more then one microwave, as there is usually a queue to use it! Also would be handier if they were placed in different locations around the college. A toaster maker would also be an idea!
there should be at least 3 microwaves, 4 toasters, a water boiler for hot water, plastic forks and knives, cups. it should be located in the main canteen as lots of people including myself eat their own lunch there anyway.
I bring food with me almost every day and on really cold days I'd really like to be able to heat up my pasta, not all of us can afford to buy a hot lunch
-Free hot water ( ridiculous paying 50 cnt for hot water) -Why is the microwave in the student union?why is it not in the main canteen where it is nice and warm? -Toaster
The campus is completely under equipped with facilities for students to bring their own food. This is in direct contrast to the overpriced food available in the main canteen. There should be an area to heat food and have access to boiling water and a small cleaning area.
More utilities are needed in Sligo IT i never knew there was a microwave for students to use before this. a better variety is needed.

A kettle would be great, the hot water is useful for making pot noodles, cup soup, and teas/coffees in travel mugs from home. And if possible disposable microwave bowls (can make lots of tinned food like spaghetti hoops, soup, etc. in these). For students who travel to college each day this would be great!
