Let Families have the help and support they need. Tv adverts talk about donating money for animals which i love animals but what is there for these families who have struggles everyday. Everyone should be made more aware about autism and what people go through.

As a retired special needs teacher, who taught pupils with ASD I fully support this motion. Many of these children need a very different educational setting to their mainstream peers. The atmosphere in a mainstream school overloads their senses and often provides a barrier to learning. We need to provide more special school with specialist teaching staff to meet the very different needs of all our ASD pupils.

Im becoming more disgusted with a system that should be helping our disadvantaged and disabled children - if these children get the right support at the right time it could and should make all the difference to them growing up into adults - its shameful not giving the support to these children on any level

My son now 19 is ASD and lost in mainstream education. He had an horrendous time in secondary school. He lost 5 years of valuable education and was mercifully bullied by his deputy head in his final 2 years through frustration. I regret not taking my complaint to offstead. His treatment in those 2 years still effects him now

My son has ASD & has been out of schoool for 8 months I've had to go to a tribunal to get my son into the correct educational provision Diagnosis of ASD is on the increase & there are no places in the schools to meet the current needs of children on the spectrum
