Being here for 3 years, the GCU parking is either overly priced, way too far, or full. If I am going to pay for those garages, I should be comfortable in finding a parking spot easily and more accessible as well! :)

First of all, it takes me around 50 minutes to over an hour sometimes to commute to GCU in the morning because of traffic then when I finally get there I have to park about 2 miles from my 8am class. WE NEED MORE PARKING. GCU has the money, use it. It's a private school and we all pay a lot of tuition money so please help us out a little bit so students don't pass out and fall over walking 20 minutes to class in the sun everyday.

They should not be continuing to sell passes for colter lot when half of it is closed. People have started to create their own spots and it's a complete mess.

After paying for the colter parking lot and discovering that a large portion of it was taken away after arriving to GCU from Wisconsin, without a warning, I am not happy.

Agreed. It is ridiculous to be paying $150 for covered parking and then having to park on the roof where it is uncovered because GCU oversells parking permits or because the first floor and a half is blocked off for "event parking" which is free for the people that park there.

I pay $150 to park in a garage that is overfilled. I usually have to park on the roof, which defeats the purpose of covered parking, and it takes me over 20 minutes to get out of the garage due to traffic.

As a now GCU Alumni, I completely understand the horrors of parking for students. The Colter lot should at least be paved with actual cement!

We pay money to come to this school, and also pay to park our cars on campus. The current parking situation for some students is not up to par. The school over sells parking stickers, the dirt lots have construction debris scattered through out the lots taking up space for student's cars. The parking lots need to be better maintained and more parking needs to be available for students.

I am a commuter and it is hard to find a good Parking spot and if I do it's in a dirt lot, nobody wants to park in a dirt lot because it messes up your car and dirt can get in the exhaust pipe. I also travel great distance away and add on the far parking from the distance I travel it is crazy. So yes I vote better parking and cheaper parking permits! GCU charges us so much money for everything else and we get fined for the tiniest things so something has to give.

With the increase of students, there should be an increase in parking. And if you're in the process of it, at least don't overbook parking.

GCU's parking liability clause clearly states: "Registration for a parking permit does not guarantee available parking. The responsibility of finding a legal parking space rests with the vehicle operator." HOWEVER, the overselling of parking permits in order to profit, thereby not insuring the care of the student, violates the Christian values of the University itself. This ethical problem must be addressed.

I parked outside along the fence over by 29th garage because I spent 15 minutes looking for parking in the garage! Colter was full as well. I ended up parking along the fence, out of the street, not near a fire lane, but was still ticketed along with everyone else. If that many people can't find a place to park, the school should realize we have a problem
