In Floyd County, the price for open heart surgery is third highest in the state—almost $100,000 higher than the state average.
More people in our community die from heart disease than any other disease. Heart disease kills hundreds of people in Floyd County every year. Floyd is committed to developing new programs and outreach initiatives to help improve the health status of our area, including the African American community, specifically as it relates to heart disease

North Georgia needs for ALL it's citizens to have a great choice for heart care/surgery. We need for the minority population as well as the lower income/uninsured population to have the ability to receive this care without going out of our county! This is so important for Floyd county, as well as all surrounding counties!
