My dad survived 3 open heart surgeries which gave us fifteen more years with him. This community deserves a better chance to have this life extending surgery—to have more accessible and more affordable coronary care. I have family in this community so it’s personal.
I applaud the mission based approach of Floyd Medical Center.

Having worked in an open heart unit, I have seen a countless number of lives saved from open heart surgery. I strongly urge you to implement this lifesaving measure in your hospital.

No one should be against reducing barriers to open heart surgery that African Americans in our community currently have, and no one should be against an alternative to unreasonably high charges at the only hospital that currently is allowed to offer open heart surgery in our community. Floyd will get the job done!!! I support Floyd's Open Heart CON.

It is most important that everyone has the opportunity to have open heart surgery if needed. Therefore, I do hope that the governor will approve this petition to allow Floyd Hospital to offer this to patients in the community.

This is good for the community. I am 15+ years post op of 5 bypasses. Personally I would like to have this service near by. I am planning on retiring to NW Georgia from South Carolina. We presently have no hospital and no resident doctor in the county. My family is from Rome. I was educated there and raise my family in Rome. I support this project.
