Please consider FMC for Open Heart Surgery. Northwest Georgia residents deserve a choice. The only hospital in the area that offers open heart surgery is a for profit hospital. FMC can offer a more cost effective option to the residents in this area.

Please consider Granting our county hospital this life saving procedure. Being the largest hospital in NW Ga this is a need we cannot afford not to have. I am a heart bypass patient. Times have changed and the granting of this petition should not even take a second thought to implement. Having a procedure at our hospital now and if an issue arrises then you have to be driven across town for open heart surgery, chances are not good. Get with the times and grant the public this urgent need please. It could be a matter of living and not..

Choice, availability, and proximity are always important. Having more and nearer options, especially for something as critical as open-heart surgery would be nice.
