I would love to see Floyd able to provide heart care. I have in the past couple of years had a heart concern. I don't like the idea of having to go to another hospital for only one aspect of my care. Being an employee of Floyd I want the option to stay within Floyd for all of my care. I trust the physicians at Floyd and the staff to have my best interest at heart.

I would like to sign this petition to request approval for Floyd Medical Center in Rome, GA to receive a CON for open heart surgery. Rome needs to have more options & access available for open heart surgery. I personally do not care for Redmond Regional and would prefer to keep my care within my Floyd Network.

NW Georgia needs a choice in where to receive treatment if open heart surgery is needed. Out of Network issues with insurance on high deductible plans are problematic in situations like this. Floyd has always been the healthcare provider to care for anyone regardless of ability to pay. The quality of care and customer service provided by Floyd is top notch and if the time comes that i need cardiac surgery, I want to be able to have it at Floyd.

FMC is a non-for-profit hospital, and is currently unable to serve those that are in need of life-saving open heart surgery. The only other option in our community is a for-profit, private hospital. Patients that are unable to afford the cost of a for-profit hospital need the option to seek attention elsewhere locally.

: 1-African Americans have not been adequately served. Floyd has shown time and again as the community hospital that when we find an issue and go after it, we improve the outcomes. 2-Redmond is the 3rd highest charging facility in the state. 3-People need a choice.
