Rome needs more than one option for open heart surgery. More options for our residents will be beneficial for our community by helping to drive the cost down.

Floyd Medical offers great access, affordable prices, and emphasizes human dignity with every encounter. Adding open heart surgery will be so beneficial to the community at large and also provide them another choice in determining where they would like to have these procedures done. Heart disease is prevalent in our society and to only have one high priced facility available limits how many people can have access to needed heart healthcare. Floyd Medical Center will provide access to lower income folks who could not afford the alternative.

Northwest Georgia citizens will have greater access to complete cardiac care with the addition of Open Heart Surgery at Floyd Medical Center. FMC has the knowledge and experience to successfully offer this line of service as a Non-Profit hospital.

Floyd deserves the Certificate of need so ALL can get access to heart surgeries regardless of financial abilities. Floyd works with many patients to get the care they need at an affordable price. I feel this is another area we are able to better assist with!

The African-American community is greatly under cared for in the Rome area for open heart. There is another facility however it is for profit and very costly. The people of Rome and surrounding area need choices.

Affordability and improved quality of care are a few of the core elements necessary in healthcare today. It is essential to provide connected care that allows us to provide optimal services to our patients. Currently we are not permitted to provide necessary cardiac services to the members of our community, despite the fact that we have a phenomenal team that is able to do so, along with superior technology, and the drive and mission to do so affordably and effectively. Please support our mission to serve others and give our hearts to an underserved population by allowing Floyd the ability to provide the open heart services that are so very needed in our community.

Floyd Hospital is known for serving our entire community. Floyd county and the surrounding areas depend greatly on Floyd Hospital due to the non-discrimatory financial requirements to be provided the care they need.
Floyd county and the surrounding areas have a great mixture of financial status and a majority are on the lower income side. It is essential that everyone receives the care they need and deserve.
