West Career and Technical Academy is composed of people of different races, colors and ethnicities that speak a variety of languages. However, ironically, the only language we can study here at WCTA is Spanish. Our school is completely ignoring the different types of languages and cultures that can be offered at a high school, and deciding to only shine light on one.

The knowledge of different languages is becoming more and more important the further we advance in the 21st century. Most colleges require at least two years of foreign language for applicants to even be accepted, which is why the student body of WCTA has decided to make a change. Every signature is bringing us one step close to offering a variety of languages, and improving our chances for success.
