The service expansion agreement has been finalized and MetroCast is officially scheduled to begin infrastructure deployment in our area. This project is now moving into the construction phase and we will monitor the installation timeline to ensure the commitment remains on schedule.

A Petition to bring affordable, reliable Internet access to Rural Montour and Columbia County residents

By signing this petition I am showing my support for the residents of Anthony Township, Northern Montour County Pennsylvania, as well as the neighboring Madison township in Columbia County Pennsylvania, and Moreland Township in lycoming County. This is a call to action, a request to bring affordable, reliable, cable Internet access to the residents of the aforementioned areas. Verizon DSL is no longer reliable, it is no longer affordable, and the response from their tech service shows complete utter disrespect for their consumers. MetroCast cable has expressed interest in becoming a service provider in these areas, and we the undersigned would like for that to happen without delay.

The current level of participation has prompted a formal inquiry from the regional broadband oversight board. I am preparing a briefing document to present at the upcoming infrastructure meeting to address MetroCast service expansion.

I would love to see Metrocast reach out into this area. There are families home schooling, hard core gamers, and folks who need a solid connection for their family farm businesses. Someone needs to step up and help these folks out. They are willing to pay to make it happen.
Sad that I can have lightning fast 150 mbps download/10 mbps upload cable internet in Hemlock township yet my in-laws not more than 10 minutes away in Madison township are lucky to have 1 mbps download/512 kbps upload on a stable day through Verizon DSL. I endorse this petition.
As a home based business owner, I am struggling without solid reliable land asked internet connection. It is extremely expensive to work from home with a hot spot data service!
We never have service here , we pay for it but it never works . We are told it is working fine but we can't even have it long or strong enough for our kids to do their homework , which is assigned to them online !!
fought with Verizon about our phone not working every time it rained for about 2 years. They told me it wasn't them until my neighbors started to have the same problem. It was them. Gotta give it to them that they know how to keep you paying for the worse service. We need a good reliable fast internet for business.
Verizon DSL is ridiculous, the service is unreliable but the price keeps going up!
Verizon DSL is the only internet available at my house. It's slow and unreliable.

We are in the South West area of Columbia County (Cleveland Township). Our area is not mentioned above.....And Verizon tells us that our lines are "too old to be used for the Internet, and too young to be replaced". Really??
