MONTGOMERY MUTUAL orders RESIDENT TO REMOVE HOLIDAY DECORATIONS

I saw the decorations last night. I was curious to see what the uproar was about. Yes, I can understand why some might think it's a bit unusual, but this is, after all, the Holiday season. I found it to be perfectly acceptable and a welcome addition to that mutual. I believe the display should be allowed to remain there. If the mutual wants some of the lights dimmed at a reasonable time each evening or expect that it should be taken down for the season (by an agreed upon date) after the holidays, that might be a good compromise. But to not allow the resident to display these items at all (prior to the holidays) seems a bit dictatorial to me.

Please rescind your order to remove holiday decorations

It's a piece of Disneyland in one's backyard. I see no harm in it for the holiday season and appreciate its ecumenical character.

Happy Holidays! Lights and Cheer! Reminds me of Sparky's Christmas House in Bethlehem, Pa. where I grew up. We all need all our favorite memories.

For me and many of my neighbors, the holiday lights and decorations have taken on a greater significance during this pandemic time. They bring on nostalgic feelings that are both comforting and calming and remind us of some of life's happiest times. Please don't take that away!

Sorry. Not a 1st amendment issue - just an issue with the footage used, not the sentiment. Anne and Chuck, we NEED this display, don't we? Lol. Footage be damned (for just a while). :-)

I definitely understand why there have to be rules in this community, but we are human beings and NOT robots --- so let's be a little more human now and opt on the side of joy and love. We need it more now than ever. People bring their children, grandchildren, friends, neighbors and dogs to see this display and the smiles are soooooo worth it.

As long as the electrical connections are safe, what's the problem. We can all use a little joy this season, especially! All rules have exceptions.....this is one that should be made.

It's too bad that such petty meanspiritedness raises its ugly head and appears to be tolerated ni . It diminishes Leisure World's quality of life.

Living directly behind Carol has been a Holiday Treat. So many of us get excited and enjoy her seasonal display. She takes us back to our childhood days where all children delight seeing the decorations. Now it is our grandchildren and we "the young at heart" who together enjoy her decorations.

Carol's Holiday Display Is A Joy Filled Delight For All To Share During These Crushing Times. I Thank You !

What can a few days of light hurt? We have all had a long hard year and it might last for awhile longer. Enjoy the happiness and smiles and joy that this can give us.

I’m thankful for Carol’s decorations. My Grandchildren loved them since not many people are decorating these days.

That display looks great. Please allow it to stay up. (In case it's relevant, I'm a Montgomery Mutual resident.)

What the...?? Did they all have bad childhoods? It's riduculous! The display looks great, Carol!

I live directly across the courtyard from the holiday display and I really love the lights. After the year we have all endured, we deserve to have something special to enjoy; especially the grandchildren. Just let it be.
