I would like to see changes in conditions of release and conditions of probation and parole if it is not nexus to your crime and they are putting you in these conditions I feel that is not right that is infringing on my civil rights my first amendment rights as a citizen and a taxpayer and I would like to see probation and parole act on conditions of release if you’re a complete with everything your court ordered and required to do to get you off as soon as possible and not wait till it’s convenient for them and then have the judges order it if you have no violations or anything like that there’s no reason why a person shouldn’t be granite this. It shouldn’t be a judge his feelings or anything like that they need to follow the law. And there is no continuity in the sentencing that the judges give out for some crimes that are exactly the same some people get 96 months for example others get 70 years it’s not right our justice system is corrupt and broken!!!!

Judges are supposed to recuse themselves if there is even a presumption of bias. When Montana citizens stand before our courts, they are treated as guilty by accusation, and do not get a fair proceeding. When judges act outside of their sworn oath, they need to be removed. Citizens, not other judges should be holding the courts to the professional standard, and constitution they swear to protect. Your Honor is a term given to a just judge, but the majority of Judges I have seen in action do not know what the word "just" means, and need to understand that honor is something you earn, not something given by a title. I am signing this petition to restore justice and integrity to Montana Courts.

We expect transparency. We do NOT trust those who hide their loyalties. We must inspect what we expect.

the people of Montana are seeking justice in this great state. Sadly, so much of what happens in the judicial system is unjust. So sad.

While the argument made in the petition that the JSC as it stands is unconstitutional, is untenable, having two judges and a lawyer on a five-man commission is also a problem. 10 to 12 is too many, in my opinion; 5 to 7 would help avoid the politics inherent to larger groups, but still be substantial enough to work effectively. In my opinion, one judge or retired judge and possibly one lawyer, with the remainder being citizens, would be far more appropriate.

The judiciary is accountable to the constitution through the legislature. That basic truth must be reinforced.
