Monmouth Comp uniform

I find the uniform to expensive.

Our neighbouring school In Abergavenny are allowed more flexibility around where they purchase their uniforms from so why should Monmouth comp be any different?

Having to pay for uniforms with Blazers that cost nearly £50 each is expensive especially if you have twins. Also to buy the uniform you got to go Ross on Wye to buy it!

We should not be forced to buy from only one supplier and one outlet, overpriced and generating funds for the school at our expense IMO ..

Everything needs sorting out asap!!

Cost comparison equates to one rule for one and one rule for another, shameful

I feel that the disparity in cost is hugely unfair and needs to be rectified.

Monmouth comprehensive school uniform is high compared to other schools

my son has to have uniform tailored to suit his shape and it ends up costing a fortune!

Trutex trousers are consistently poor quality and keep falling apart at the seems. It is embarrassing for anyone, but particularly teenagers, to have their clothing fall apart and therefore exposing themselves. Trutex is not fit for purpose, and is far too expensive.

Ridiculous price

It's shocking how much we have to spend on uniform, my son wears M&S school trousers now. He wore trutex trousers for Yr 7 & 8 but as soon as he grew out of them I started buying M&S trousers, there better material & he finds them more comfitable to wear!

I found Trutex very difficult. I ordered my child’s uninform at the end of July and have had to make 5 visits so far to collect it from Matalan Cwmbran (I live in usk) I also still haven’t received 2 items off the list and it’s 16th September now.

School uniform should be affordable for all. Supermarket basic tops, cardigans, trousers, skirts, blazers should be acceptable. There is no practical benefit of a logo. Uniform should not be a way to generate school funds.
