A school as good as Monmouth should aim to be more inclusive - at the very least follow the latest Wales gov guidelines for uniforms.

It is very expensive for families on lower income. Especially when they got two pupils in the school.

I support a good uniform policy, but the limited suppliers and options are impractical and unfair

Compared to other schools within this area Monmouth Comprehensive is nearly double the price. Monmouth wages are not high enough to fund all this expense.

Time to end this ripoff and think of the costs to parents. Why should the costs be so much higher than other schools?

When my children were school age it was a real struggle to afford school uniform. For a school to dictate where it has to be purchased from is totally unfair and discriminatory against lower income families. Please Monmouth School, reconsider this unfair rule.

The uniform contravenes government guidance on uniforms, locking parents into one very expensive supplier.
This uniform policy is forcing some low paid families, or those of us affected by income reductions as a result of COVID, to struggle to equip pupils with basic uniform. Its an unacceptable and unnecessary expense. Its a poor reflection on the school that value for money isn't considered important. And before anyone shoves the ethical supply rubbish at me, please see if you can find a list of the factories supplying Truetex. Asda and Tesco's on the other hand are transparent and open.

Failure to fit is also a problem for us due to lack of choice, my fairly standard shaped tall slim girls cannot wear school trousers due to fit
